Creating Spaces : Cotswold Sculptors Association

  • The Club Room Opposite Carpenters Arms, Miserden, Stroud GL6 7JA (map)

Over 200 fabulous sculptures beautifully placed within the magnificent 17th Century gardens at Miserden, near Stroud, Gloucestershire. The gardens are open Wednesdays to Sunday each week, including bank holidays between 10:00 and 17:00. There are also toilets and a cafe and plenty of parking. There will also be an indoor sculpture exhibition housed in the Club Room, two minutes walk into the village, opposite the The Carpenters Arms. Full AA road signage will lead you there to follow the yellow signs.

This lovely, timeless garden, with spectacular views over a deer park and rolling Cotswold hills beyond, was designed in the 17th Century and still retains a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. The Gardens provide the backdrop for 130 sculptures from established makers and the indoor venue, displaying a further 70 sculptures, is the Club Room, an old stone schoolhouse in the heart of the village, just across the road from the Carpenters Arms.
