April Tasks : Access Grading and other information
We need all artists to complete this Equality monitoring form, so we know who is accessing our programme and can use all that lovely data for our funding applications.
We also need all studios and venues to have completed this Access Grading form by 28th April in order to give accurate information to visitors.
This year we are testing Access Grading, so that visitors can see which studios have Blue Badge parking with the venue, allow Assistance Dogs, and are accessible to wheelchair users. Our aim is to make it as simple and quick as possible for visitors to find studios they can visit, and we appreciate your honesty in making this as accurate as possible. If we cannot include this information in the 2025 printed directory, we will be providing the information on the website.

Open Studios Dates
All the Open Studios are open on these dates so don't forget to put it in your calendar! These opening hours are for all the Listings and Features too, and do note that we’ve changed the timings to 5pm (was 6pm), but you’re welcome to open earlier and later if you wish.

Open Studios Evenings
Artists have always been keen to visit other artists’ studios, so we’re testing the evenings again this year. We've chosen times that were popular, but you're all encouraged to contact each other using the directories, to arrange visits at any time.

Private Evening Open Studios event for Site Festival artists
Thursday 19th June
7pm- 8.30pm
Sharon, Brenda and Alex warmly invite Site Festival artists to the Coach House studio to respond to the dancing body. They will offer a dynamic and playful space to foster dialogue between visual artist and dancer. A guided introduction from embodied somatic practise will be part of the offering. Please bring your own preferred medium for your visual art. Loose, comfortable clothing is advised.

Parking for 2 cars ( if people want to car pool) or alternatively you can park in car parks on the common. Private Road is on the 'triangle’ shaped junction with Butterow Hill and Winstones Icecream factory.

Order Open Studios signs
Signage is really important for directing visitors to your Open Studio. People who haven't seen any publicity often pop in out of curiosity. Plus, many of us live in random spots that are difficult to find.
Many artists put up a minimum of two signs, but, depending on your studio location you may need more than two.
