Exhibition of Public Works

At The Bureau for the Validation of Art, the Officials offer artists the opportunity to submit their work for Validation. The Bureau are yet to find anything that isn’t Art, and in this Public Exhibition you are invited to submit work to the show. The Officials will be in attendance to assess the works on display, asking “But Is It Art??”
Using a preset series of questionnaires aimed at The Artist, and An Audience, along with the Officials’ own assessment, and using abundant quantities of paperwork, the Officials make a decision on whether the proposed work is Valid as Art.
The Officials validate validated work with a VALIDATED stamp, and a docket is presented to the artist recording the process and outcome.

You can contribute to The Bureau for Validation of Art exhibition at SVA. Please bring your work to the SVA gallery space by 16 September. Work should be labelled with Artist name and title. The Bureau’s decision is final.
