The Site Festival presents the work of over 150 artists in around 50 sites across the Stroud Valleys during April and May. The Site Festival creates a platform for artists and artist collectives to show new work, to initiate new projects, and work collaboratively with other artists. SVA, the festival host organisation, will open its doors for a programme of exhibitions, open studios, film, screenings, talks and performances.
Site Festival will feature exhibitions, performances and live music, films and open studios. There will also be a series of Resound Radio podcasts online. Featured artists include Graeme Miller, Mermaid Chunky, Yama Warashi, Boss Morris, Alabaster DePlume, Sugar Sea Catering, Dan Rawlings, Jonny Fluffy Punk, Miserable Malcom, Project Adorno, Liz Bentley, Brontt Industries Kapital, Valerie Van Leersum and Tara Downs.

Resound Radio will be working with Radio Droogdok curated by artist Tara Downs, who lives in Stroud and Amsterdam for Site Festival 2018. We be making and transmitting podcasts from Valerie Van Leersum's studio at NDSM, a former NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam, to the gallery at SVA.
Open Studios will feature 85 artists across the district for our 22nd annual Open Studios event - we hope we can make this one even more enticing and exciting to hundreds of new and regular visitors.
Mesadorm are back at their favourite venue to celebrate the release of their eagerly awaited debut album Heterogaster. Support from the wonderful Dear Robot.

Valerie Van Leersum, an artist from NDSM in Amsterdam, will be our resident artist for the SITE Festival Open Studios.

Encapsulating influence from a number of cultures across Africa, South America & beyond, Waaju presents the vision of drummer & percussionist Ben Brown which draws from the exceptional spirit of the likes of Ali Farka Toure, Oumou Sangare, Tinariwen & Baba Sissoko.
Alabaster dePlume is a London and Manchester based spoken word artist, writer and saxophonist. This fluid live music performance reassures with behaviour and sound while it challenges with thoughts and words.

Arsenal is a newly commissioned soundtrack for the 1928 film by Oleksandr Dovzhenko. Bronnt Industries Kapital is based around British composer Guy Bartell, who works in the fields of film soundtrack, electronic music and sound art.
Stroud’s highly addictive Mermaid Chunky host a curated night of experimental sounds and performance featuring special guest, Yama Warashi.

Following the album release of the acclaimed soundtrack to the UK TV version of the The Moomins, one of its original composers, Graeme Miller, has created a new full re-scoring of Tove Jansson’s almost visionary second Moomins book, Comet in Moominland.
