Radio Cinema presents Listening In with Eliza Lomas (BBC Radio 4, Tate, Crack Magazine)
Radio and podcast producer Eliza Lomas presents a communal listening evening. Expect to hear some of her favourite audio work, from storytelling to sound art, alongside clips from her own projects.
She’ll also be in conversation with Katharina Child (Atelier) and Jo Leahy (SVA) about her career so far, which includes making podcasts in Berlin with Peaches, working with Stephen Fry for Radio 4 and recording binaural sound art for Resonance FM.
Eliza Lomas started her career in London, where she produced music documentaries for BBC Radio 1Xtra and Red Bull Music Academy Radio. This led to working on Jamie Cullum’s weekly BBC Radio 2 Jazz Show. She then moved to Vietnam, where she ran a small music venue in the centre of Hanoi. Whilst there, she founded a popular podcast series called The Renovation Generation, for Vietnamese millennials.
After three years she returned to Bristol, where she now works as a freelance radio and podcast producer. Up until now, she’s produced programmes for BBC Radio 4, Tate, Crack Magazine, the National Portrait Gallery, ABC Radio, and also runs podcast workshops as part of Bristol Experimental Expanded Film (BEEF).
