Three years ago, Mary Jane Baxter quit her job at the BBC and headed for Europe in her mobile craft studio. Burnt out, and tired of trying to balance the creative life with day to day demands, she hit the road searching for fresh inspiration meeting other makers along the way and running pop-ups to help fund her travels.

Mary Jane is currently writing a book about her trip called Sew on the Go, with the publisher UNBOUND. Mary Jane will be giving a talk about her trip and the challenges of trying to live creatively. Mary Jane is the author of two previous books Chic on a Shoestring and The Modern Girl’s Guide to Hatmaking.
